Let a Pulitzer winning reporter WAKE YOU UP!

Will you knowingly let others OPENLY discriminate against you & your children? No self-respecting individual will!

Unfortunately, such an OPEN discrimination against Asian Ams exists. Listen to Dan Golden's audio clip below.

Dan Golden is a Pulitzer-prize winning author and the Deputy Bureau Chief, Boston, of Wall Street Journal. He is an expert in college admissions.

He is NOT even ideologically with us. Indeed, he supports "race-conscious" admissions. Nevertheless, he straightforwardly states that Asian Americans are DISCRIMINATED against by the current admissions policy.

Hear his 4-minute audio statement on that matter: http://www.80-20initiative.net/action/pod-wsjgolden-2.mp3 .

When even a neutral observer calls the admissions policy discriminatory toward AsAms. Do YOU want to do something about it? This is an OPEN discrimination against you. Do you have the guts to speak up and the substance to take action?

Read on. The worst is yet to come.

What scares me as should you is that Asian Am NATIONAL organizations, AAJC, AALDEF, OCA, and JACL repeatedly SUPPORTED this discriminatory policy against AsAms by filing Amicus briefs with the US District Courts, Circuit Courts and the Supreme Court supporting this "race-conscious" admissions policy.

When 80-20 discovered this dirty little secret, we spoke up for you.

80-20 filed an amicus brief in the Supreme Court AGAINST this policy in 2013. We also got most of the Indian Am national orgs to co-file with us. As a result, some AsAm orgs. seem to be repenting. If true, we compliment them for their repentance.

However, AAJC of D.C. (Asian Am Justice Center) and AALDEF of NY (Asian Am Legal Defense) are still filing in the 5th Circuit Court to support this discriminatory admission policy against Asian Ams.

Wake up! Ask yourself these questions and think

(1) Do you need 80-20 to protect you? Who else can you turn to?
(2) Can 80-20 protect you effectively when its annual budget is only $0.1 million, while AAJC and AALDEF spend tens of times more each year
-- using money from liberal foundations which have always placed more importance in other minorities than AsAms?
(3) Are you too stingy to donate your own money to protect yourself against discrimination? Do you want your children to respect you? They know that they are being discriminated against in college admissions. That's why many didn't want to identify themselves as Asian Am. Is that a reflection on ALL of us for our timidity and ineffectiveness?

ALL self-respecting individuals will do their shares to fight against OPEN discrimination against them. Will you?

In Giving, We Receive

"For it is in giving that we receive."
                                             ― St. Francis of Assisi

The above is PARTICULARLY true when you donate to 80-20’s Self Empowerment Long-term Fund, SELF ! To donate, click here.

‘Tis the season of giving. Friends, to entice you to give, I just added $500/yr for 5 years to the $2,500/yr for 5 years donated earlier. As you may know, I also donate $5,000/yr to 80-20 PAC. In addition, I have been a full-time volunteer for 80-20 Initiative for the last 11 years (actually 16 years as an almost full-time volunteer) to help protect Asian American rights! Kindly please consider doing your share?

‘Tis the season of self empowerment! Remember the ABC/Jimmy Kimmel episode? Many of YOU wanted 80-20 to do more? Is it realistic, since 80-20 has only a budget of $100k/yr.? In comparison, the Jewish political organization, AIPAC has a budget of $86 million per year. Yes, we understand why you want us to do more! We can, and we will, but have you and your friends done your share?

‘Tis the season of giving AND self empowerment all at the same time! You have nothing to lose, everything to gain. If, within 2 years, 80-20 EF can’t raise the minimal EMPOWERING amount of $1 million/yr for 5 years, your donation will be REFUNDED in full.

To donate, click here . Let us hear from you please. THANK YOU.

$750,000 Raised In 16 Days

$751,500 over 5 years or $150,296/yr for 5 years donated by generous Asian Ams in the past 16 days. See for yourself. Click on http://admin.80-20nj.info/cgi/dm?l=8/au/1/f&w=cfn-list80data.

Have you done your share? Money talks.

Have you learned the lesson? The recent ABC/Jimmy Kimmel episode!

It showed the importance of PREVENTIVE political action which only 80-20 Initiative may provide. If the kid had said, "Kill all Jews or blacks," it would NEVER have aired. But "kill all Chinese" was aired & probably so would "kill all Asians."

Wake up, friends! It's NOT racism. Why otherwise would "kill all blacks" not be shown? It is political clout, and money talks. We lack clout and YOU can help!

Does your family earn $100,000/yr or more? If yes, then do your share.
   Go to

               http://admin.80-20nj.info/cgi/80/e?l=8/au/1/f&w=no

and donate at least $100/yr for 5 years. If your family doesn't earn that much, still do the best you can please.

Give to 80-20 Educational Foundation's Self Empowerment Long-term Fund, SELF.

Do you want your children and grandchildren to see "kill all Chinese" on the future equivalent of the "Jimmy Kimmel" show? If not, then do something about it!!! You may like the image you see in the mirror a lot more. :-)

Forward this email! Many thanks. TOGETHER, WE SHALL OVERCOME !

Most sincerely,

CLARION CALL (II) -- half a million raised

   The clarion has sounded. Charge!

Thanks to all of you, the total raised in 2.5 days, since the CLARION CALL (I) was issued, is $550,000. Of those,
          (1) about $16,000 are in lump sums, and
          (2) about $107,000 are in per yr. for 5 years.

Therefore, over a 5 year period, we have already raised (lump sums + 5 x donations per year) = $550,000. Verify it for yourself at the Acknowledgement Page.

Money talks. We have a great start. Now please help make our money talk even louder! We HOPE TO REACH $ 140,000/yr for 5 years BY THE END OF THE WEEK!!! EXTRA: 80-20 PAC is now discussing the Jimmy Kimmel matter with Walt Disney/ABC. We'll keep you posted.

NOTICE: After your donation, you'll receive a "Thank you for tax purposes" letter from 80-20EF, please forward it to your friends.

We must spread the word to people who are NOT currently on our email list. That'll be the only way to reach the minimal EMPOWERING amount of $1 million/yr for 5 years quickly. Tell your friends that we need to make our money talk for us! If we don't reach that oak within two years, your donation will be refunded in full.

CLARION CALL TO ACTION -- sacrifice & donate

                     CLARION CALL TO ACTION !
80-20 calls on all Asian Americans to sacrifice and donate to an Asian American Self-Empowerment Fund.

On our watch, friends, our children face the HIGHEST barrier against them in college admissions. Our adults face the LOWEST glass ceiling against them in workplaces. Does that reflect on us? Will our children be proud of us with those facts?

We MUST pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps! Self reliance is infinitely more reliable than dependence on others. God helps those who help themselves. Doing your share to help establish the Self Empowerment Long-term Fund project, SELF, is the best way to achieve self help!

If your family has an annual income of $100k/yr, we urge you to donate at least $100/yr for 5 years. Many families with lesser annual income are donating that amount or $50. To donate with a credit card (you do NOT need to be a Paypal member to use this Paypal site), click on http://admin.80-20nj.info/cgi/80/e?l=8/au/1/f&w=no .

Or send a check, payable to 80-20 EF, to
                 Lynn Chen-Zhang, CPA
                 7596 Oak Shore South
                 Portage, MI 49024

Your donation is tax deductible. You'll have many privileges, including having input into the usage of the fund. Click here for more details.

80-20 believes that we'll be able to raise, within 1 year, the minimal EMPOWERING amount of $1 million/yr for 5 yrs.

In any respect, you have nothing to lose, everything to gain. If we fail to raise, within 2 yrs., $1 million/yr for 5 yrs, your donation will be refunded in FULL. 80-20 has already set up an escrow bank account. If we succeed, then the socio-political benefit you'll gain will be many times that of your donation.

Actually, 80-20 aims to raise $10 million/yr for 5 yrs within 2 years. We'll use "our money to talk for us" while using 80-20's "political know-how" to help our offspring to stand TALL, ONCE & for ALL.

For those who earn much more than $100k/yr., we urge you to tithe -- to donate 1 to 3% of your annual income to the SELF project.

My annual income is slightly above $100k/yr. I've donated 5% to 80-20's two components, EF and PAC. A role model, an "anonymous", has pledged $120,000 over the next 2 years. Another Asian Am. from Houston, TX, pledged $2,500/yr, believe it or not, for 8 yrs. Go visit our "Acknowledgement Page", you'll see the names of tens of individuals who've donated $1,000/yr or more for 5 yrs. You may know some of them.

   Click on http://admin.80-20nj.info/cgi/80/e?l=8/au/1/f&w=no NOW!

Please do your share! God helps those who help themselves. Let our children know that we fight for them.

THANK YOU!

How 80-20 fights for our children - 2 recent examples

First Example - Recent Legal Action

4 days ago, 80-20 EF filed an amicus brief with the 5th Circuit Court, which the Supreme Court has asked to re-consider its decision supporting the Univ. of TX in "Fisher vs. Univ. of TX." To read our brief, Click here , and go to item 8. 80-20 of course supports "race-neutral" college admissions.

The current "race-conscious" admissions policy grossly discriminates against our children. So much so that many of our children have chosen not to identify themselves as Asian Ams in college applications -- a shameful reflection on us, their elders.

80-20 EF co-filed this amicus brief with the Asian Am. Legal Foundation (AALF) of San Francisco.

AALF is not to be confused with the Asian Pacific American Legal Center (APALC) of Los Angeles, which has gone out of its way, filing amicus briefs supporting "race-conscious" admissions. After 80-20 publicly challenged APALC on this issue, it has become relatively quiet. We hope and pray that APALC has changed its mind. If so, 80-20 will be delighted and privileged to work with APALC on this and other issues.

Second Example - Taking on SELF

80-20's best effort for our children and YOU is its Self Empowerment Long-term Fund project, SELF. It aims to raise, within 2 years, at least $1 million per year for 5 years. Afterwards, we aim to expand it to be a
$10 million/yr for 5 yrs project. 80-20 EF's Board, after much polling & empirical testing of its fund-raising ability, has approved the project.

Money talks. From hereon, 80-20's political skills will be complemented with having money to talk for us also.

Why hasn't 80-20 told you where to donate yet? We are thoroughly testing our donation website -- we can't make the same mistake that the federal government is making in "Obama Care." :-)

Please forward this email to your AsAm friends. To post your comments, click here.

Why the Self Empowerment Long-term Fund?

As the acronym SELF implies, it may signify that henceforth Asian Ams possess the self-confidence, wisdom, courage and the caring for justice and equal opportunity to put up OUR OWN money in order to fight OUR OWN battles to WIN OUR RIGHTS.

                             What Will SELF Bring Us?

(1) Clout

Reliance on 80-20's political know-how, with a shoestring budget, can only go so far. Money is required to complement that political know-how. Money talks.

(2) Pride

"USA Today" reported that many Asian Am youngsters chose NOT to identify themselves as Asian Ams when applying for college admissions. They seemed to sense that to be Asian Ams means to be stepped on, with our community helplessly watching without a fight. To verify that shameful reflection on us, click here. When we have the clout to fight effectively for our youngster's equal opportunity, their pride in their heritage and their elders will return.

                     A Board Decision Coming soon!

In 6 days, 80-20 EF's Board will meet to decide if our community seems to have what it takes to take on this immensely difficult, precedent-breaking and history-making SELF project. 80-20 and you are parts of the same community. 80-20 is only as strong as you are!
