THINK: How DIFFICULT this fight will be?

If 80-20 doesn't, no one else will.
Dear Fellow Asian-Americans:
Do you know how difficult this fight will be? To convince America to stop discriminating against AsAm students in elite college admissions?
This is not a traffic accident case that most lawyers would take.  This is not a complaint to the Department of Education or Justice which a college applicant or any layperson can lodge. This is a legal case that 90% of the prestigious law firms probably don't want to touch, because the odds against us are too stiff.
At a minimum, to have a chance of filing a winning lawsuit, AsAms will need an organization which has good contacts with

1) prestigious lawyers and law firms,
2) retired judges having served in high courts,
3) highly-placed politicians,
4) wise litigants like Ed Blum, and
5) individuals who have worked in the admission offices of elite colleges.
How many AsAm organizations do you know which have the above qualifications and are willing to fight for you???
Only 80-20 is foolhardy enough to want to fight ON YOUR BEHALF.   Indeed, a large % of AsAms, having "made it", often cease their association with our community, much less fight for us.
So please think it over.  This is probably the last chance for decades, when you will have a voice to fight for your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great ...
Will 80-20 win?  We can't guarantee the outcome.  But when we fight, we'll begin to sew the seeds of a victory.
All you need to do is take 5 minutes of your time and $10 by clicking here.  Get your spouse to do the same.

Frankly, this petition drive is failing. Click here to see that thus far we have only 200+ petitioners. We need 100,000. At this rate, it'll take 3 years to get to that number. However, in one month, UNLESS the sign up rate will increase by 10 to 50 times, 80-20 will probably cease this campaign and return the money raised in this petition to all donors.

80-20 can lead you to the water.  You'll need to decide whether to drink it.  Click here to sign the petition together with your spouse NOW.

7 reasons to join the PETITION

7 Reasons to Join the Petition
1) Undeniable Evidence of Discrimination:
Even The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court agrees that Asian American students are discriminated against and the Court's "willful blindness to Asian-American students is absolutely shameless."*
2) Sad Consequence 1: Too heavy a burden on our youths
In Palo Alto, CA the pressure on AsAm kids to excel, in order to overcome  the extra 140 SAT points they have to yield to white applicants for equal access to elite universities, is so high that the suicide rate is 4 times higher  than the national average.
3) Sad Consequence 2:  Our students lose self-respect for themselves
School counselors are advising AsAm students to deny their racial identity and cultural heritage, when applying to elite colleges.
4) Sad Consequence 3:  Our adults lose self-respect from everyone
When we just sit and take this and not fight back,
         a) our children will lose respect for us,
         b) our spouses will lose respect for us,
         c) our friends will lose respect for us, and
         d) most important of all, we will lose self-respect.  Can we still look at ourselves in the mirror & feel good, albeit living in a big house and driving fancy cars.
5)  Only 1 Alternative:  Sign the petition and fight
Our children's fate is in our hands.  No one else will fight for our children, but ourselves.  Click here to sign up.
6)  Things Could Get Worse:
If we don't fight, the free-market nature of the U.S. could make
        a) the admission barriers against our children even higher,
        b) the glass ceiling against our adults in workplaces even lower,
        c) internment of AsAms more likely, if there is a war in Asia.
7)  AsAm UNITY Beckons - our ultimate salvation:

The desire and anger to eliminate the discrimination against our students is fervently shared by ALL AsAms.  If there is ONE issue that will unite the varied Asian American components, this is it.  When the 20 million AsAms are united, we shall overcome. Indeed, we'll help make America a "more perfect union."
Click here to sign the petition together with your spouse NOW.  Next please recruit your friend to sign.  Use Facebook, Twitter, WeChat and others.TOGETHER, we shall overcome.

Some read politics into this battle.  Look!  This is about fighting for our students/children. It is NOT about Democrats or Republicans.  Yes, the 3 dissenting Justices were appointed by Republican presidents.  But Justice Kennedy, who voted on the other side, was appointed by Pres. Reagan.
80-20 knows politics.  We are " covering your back" and mounting the the kind of operation that no other AsAm organizations or individuals can possibly mount.  So support this effort, when you have a chance.   80-20 is only as strong as you are.  Click sign the petition NOW!

The Clarion Has Sounded

The 1st Step of a Great Battle
                          You are 80-20's boss.

80-20 is but an effective tool to be used by you to serve your rightful interests.   80-20 shall bear all the hardship of a very difficult fight - to induce America to treat Asian American students fairly in the admissions process -, IF you tellus that you want and shall support that fight,.
This then leads to the 2nd litmus test  - there must be 100,000 or more petitioners, donating $2 million to the war chest in the PETITION entitled:
Join as a petitioner on 100,000@$10+Petition .  Your signature is our order. IF the litmus test is not passed, 80-20 will reluctantly withdraw from the battlefield, and return all donations raised through this petition.  80-20 is only as strong as you are.
               The Clarion Has Sounded
Read the strong statements by 3 dissenting Supreme Court Justices , including The Chief Justice (pp 22 to 27).  They have seen much more college admissions data through the court proceedings than us.  Yet they used such strong words: "discrimination", "willful blindness", and "shameless":
" ... including racial discrimination that undeniably harms Asian Ams ... the court's willingness to allow this "discrimination against individuals of Asian descent is particularly troubling, in light of the long history of discrimination against Asian Americans, especially in education... In particular, the Fifth Circuit's willful blindness to Asian-American students is absolutely shameless."  (emphasis added)
Just joining the petition with $10 is easy.  It is not a sufficient expression of your will to fight.  You must, in addition,
1) induce your spouse to sign, and
2) email this link: 100,000@$10+ Petition to all your friends & paste it onto your Facebook, Twitter, WeChat ..., etc. and urge them to be petitioners.
If TOGETHER, we fulfill these 2 goals - 100,000 & $2 million - within one month, we will have given this pending battle a great start.  If we'd fail this litmus test after much delay, God help us and our students.
The choice is yours.  Show that you will fight with your heart and soul for our students.  Go to 100,000@$10+ Petition NOW!
