UPDATE: Upping our pressure on Blackburn

UPDATE:
[A] Polite Attempts To Reason

On Dec. 3, Senator Blackburn outrageously tweeted: "China has a 5,000 year of history of Cheating and stealing. Some things will never change…

On Dec. 8, 80-20 President S. B. Woo emailed & faxed Sen. Blackburn, politely asking her to withdraw her statement and apologize to our community.   80-20 staff Stephen Lin called Blackburn’s D.C. office immediately afterward to verify that she has received both.  80-20 told her office that we expect an answer & that we want to settle this matter as fellow Americans who care for each other.

[B] Ignored, TNCAA & 80-20 Up the Pressure A Bit

On Dec. 12, Tennessee Chinese American Alliance, TNCAA, organized a peaceful protest in Nashville.

On Dec. 14, 80-20 went public against Sen. Blackburn with an e-newsletter entitled ”'China .. 5000 yr history of cheating ..’, Sen. Blackburn”. It was opened by 46,000 of 80-20's supporters and caused 550 to 1,000 phone calls, faxes and emails to pour into her office.  It tied up her D.C. office phone for days, causing that office to temporarily shut their office phone off and on
for 3 days.

[C] The Great State of TN Helped 80-20 to Up the Pressure More

On Dec.21, TENNESSEAN, a great paper in Nashville, published a guest column entitled Marsha Blackburn's 'cheating and stealing' attack on China is historically inaccurate | Opinion. It was a great satire which laughed at her utter ignorance. The face of Marsha Blackburn should have turned red, although I'll bet that she didn't.

On the same day, 80-20 sent an e-newsletter entitled “GREAT NEWS” announcing the publication of that column. Again about 46,000 opened it. The editors of TENNESSEAN may be delighted to know that more than 9,900 persons clicked on that article.

[D] A Serious Step - Working with TN Voters

Coming soon, there will be a full-page ad in TN’s 4 largest newspapers demanding Sen. Blackburn's apology. The effort is led by TNCAA, and supported by 80-20 Educational Foundation and UCA, United Chinese Americans. It'll be signed by a huge number of TN voters. It'll make the history of Chinese Americans in TN and nationwide.

If YOU have relatives & close friends in TN and YOU hope that they'll be co-signers, then send them this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf5tezlpn3g-TQemMTmZrS9tGXAk5BXWcV9YZqnUaraaK4TDg/viewform Ask them to honor their ancestry & heritage. Your friends will have written proof that they fight heroically to protect their children.

[E] NY Times May Publish Blackburn's Hitler-like Hateful Statement

Does Blackburn's hateful statement remind you of how Hitler described the Jews in his Mein Kampf? 6 million Jews lost their lives later because good decent people didn't take Hitler's statement seriously at first. We hope that Blackburn will soon realize her folly, withdraw her statement and sincerely apologize to us. Many are urging us to get NY Times and Washington Post to publish her hateful statement. We can no longer give Blackburn the benefit of doubts, We need to call a spade a spade.

GREAT NEWS

Great News!

Tennessee's largest newspaper, Tennessean, published a guest column which took Sen. Blackburn to task. Its title is

Seth Dawson Guest columnist

You may want to read it. It's a great article laughing at the ignorance of Marsha Blackburn. You may also want to post a comment at the end of that article. Click on "View Comment" immediately below the title. You must first register, then click on "sign in" and then post. Otherwise, your comment will NOT appear.

A Lesson from This Episode

The lesson is: When we are outrageously insulted by big politicians, we MUST speak up and fight back. Then and only then, will we get the good, gentle and rational compatriots of this great nation to side with us. After that, if called for, we could work together to punish such politicians.

Another example was when Pres. Trump repeatedly used the term "Chinese virus." 80-20 picked up Trump's gauntlet, and started the "Dump Trump" campaign immediately – by far the first to start such a campaign.  At the end, we defeated Trump.  We didn't do it just by ourselves. However, we did our share, and we maintained our honor.

Our children will learn from us and respect us.  Step by step, we will build world-class political organization to protect our rights! In that process, we also help make America "a more perfect union."

DONATE We need YOUR help to realize our SHARED DREAM.

FIRST Bequest! PUNISHING Blackburn.

Gratefully Acknowledging a $156,240.00 BEQUEST from

Hao Hoang, Los Angeles, CA

Hao Hoang was a typical immigrant success story. He and his family immigrated to the U.S. when he was a teenager. At the time he spoke very little English. But within a few years after arriving in the U.S., he graduated from high school with high honors and was accepted to the Rhode Island School of Design, to become part of the first generation of his family to attend college.

Professionally, Hao was an accomplished architect. In addition, he also founded two companies – Buzzcraze, a developer of risk management processes, and Seirios Communications, LLC, a feature-film production company.

Outside of his busy work life, Hao also set aside time to volunteer and give back to his community. He led inner-city youth in Los Angeles on hikes; campaigned for environmental initiatives with the Sierra Club; and mentored LA-area applicants to the Rhode Island School of Design.

Giving back was part of Hao’s DNA. Though he came from a modest background, he felt it was important to share the fruit of his labor and donate some of what he earned to the 80-20 Educational Foundation, to further equal opportunity in the workplace and equal justice for Asian Americans.

In addition to memorializing Hao Hoang above, 80-20 Educational Education also honors him by establishing a memorial for him, which will be on permanent display at EF's acknowledgment page for "Our Heroes & Heroines".

Charity Begins At Home and Federal Estate Tax Law

There are plenty of rich folks in our community. Many tend to give millions of dollars to non-AsAm organizations only. 80-20 invites the best and brightest of our rich folks to be heroes or heroines to buck that ugly trend and show trust in our own peopleHarvard has consistently rated AsAms as having worse personality than all other races. Could it be that Harvard has dealt with too many rich AsAms who don't trust their own people and don't recognize the universally accepted value of "Charity Begins At Home"?

How do you think the Jewish organizations built up their endowment funds, worth almost $100 million dollars? Bequests play an important role.

For anyone with an estate worth more than $11.58 million, a bequest to 80-20 Educational Foundation can be used to to offset the need to pay federal estate tax. For details, please consult your lawyers and accountants, who are welcome to call EF for related info.

The Demand for Sen. Blackburn to Apologize Intensifies

About 500 to 1,000 AsAms called/faxed/emailed Blackburn's D.C. office to condemn her tweet "China has a 5000 year history of cheating and stealing. Some things will never change..."    They left their phone and fax numbers and their personal email addresses with Blackburn's office. They understand that in a democracy a senator is but a public servant.

They sent such powerful & eloquent messages to her. Here is an example:

"Ms. Blackburn,

I and my friends of various ethnicities, including white, brown and black are outraged by your irresponsible and dishonest tweet. Where did you got this idea from? It is unbelievable this came from an educated person like you are. Please respect the fact and withdraw your insulting tweet immediately to reduce the damage you've made to yourself and to show the people in the states and elsewhere that there is still a right or wrong sense in your judgement.  Thank you for your prompt action. Respectfully,       David"

Blackburn is not budging thus far. We are therefore compelled to begin informing her TN constituents about her UNsenatorial, UNtruthful, & UN-American statement and behavior against the ancestry of her fellow Americans. We'll buying full-page newspaper and digital ads in TN.

DONATE! Our project to establish a world-class political organization to protect ourselves, especially when there are politicians like Sen. Blackburn around, has raised $750,000 in 4 weeks. YOUR generosity can send us over the $1 million mark by year's end. That'll make Blackburn sit up & notice. :-)
