Happy New Year.

I appeal to you to consider donating generously.

I’ll be direct. I don’t personally benefit from your donation.  Instead, I donated at least $250,000 and 22 years of my life to build an AsAm political organization – 80-20 Initiative. We together fought courageously to win many battles for our community last year. Let us just count the BIG TICKET BATTLES WE WON last year or are still waging.

1)  80-20 didn't do it alone, but it was the ONE & ONLY AsAm national organization to lead a campaign to DEFEAT Trump, who seems to dislike or hate persons of Chinese origin and who has hurt our nation in many ways.

2)  Again, 80-20 didn’t do it alone, but it was the ONE & ONLY AsAm national organization to lead a campaign to DEFEAT CA's Prop 16 by a landslide. If Prop 16 had passed, it would have discriminated against our children's equal opportunity in college admissions.

3)  MOST RECENTLY, on Dec. 3, 2020, when Sen. Marsha Blackburn of TN tweeted:  "China has a 5000 year history of cheating and stealing. Some things will never change...", who but 80-20 was again the FIRST to ask her to withdraw her tweet and apologize.

Getting no response, 80-20 steadily increased pressure on herFirst, 80-20 organized 550 to 1000 phone calls/faxes and emails to pour into her office asking for an apology, tying up her D.C. phone and fax lines for days. Secondly, 80-20 worked with TNCAA (Tennessee Chinese Am. Alliance) and UCA (United Chinese Americans) to buy a full-page ad in newspapers of the 4 largest TN cities exposing Blackburn’s ignorance and hatefulness and asked her to apologize.

YESTERDAYthe ad appeared on page A3 in the 4 largest TN news-papers. 2000 Tennesseans, from tens of small towns and big cities (names are bolded & underlined), signed the ad. 70% of the signers were non-AsAms. Only 1000 names were shown, owing to space limitations. 3 of the ads will be shown for 3 days. 80-20 Educational Foundation and United Chinese Ams paid for the ads (read the 3rd line from the bottom of the ad). Will these ads adversely affect Blackburn's re-election chances? Who knows? She could help herself by apologizing, immediately and sincerely.

Aren't you glad that 80-20 exists to fight for our rights and honor? With politicians like Trump and Blackburn around, we must have WORLD-CLASS Political Organization to protect our rights and honor.

If we are doing so well, why are we raising money again?

Old war horses like Alice Huang, Henry Lee and S. B. Woo who work free for our community can't hang on too much longer. At the same time, it is unrealistic, nowadays, to expect young talented professionals to work for our community for free. Hence 80-20 needs a huge infusion of donations in order to turn its "boutique" operation into an institutional operation, and in a few more years into a world-class operation.

80-20 needs to hire a few young professionals, plus an Executive Director, plus have an annual war chest in the range of $1 million for its phase II existence. In addition, 80-20 needs an endowment of about $20 million, whose dividends will keep 80-20 operating permanently.

        S. B. Woo should have a couple of years left to work for you. He will work himself to the bone to help build a great AsAm political institution cost-effectively.

Let's do our best for our children ON OUR WATCH!  Your name will be prominently displayed for your generosity.  Click here to see examples. Thank you. Email me your annual pledge TODAY! Your word is enough.
