At the request of 80-20 EF President S. B. Woo, U.S. Sen. Chris Coons wrote a judicious and yet powerful letter to Attorney General Garland on Aug. 10, 2021 regarding Prof. Hu's case. Sen. Coons requested "not to share this letter publicly."
I naturally still shared this letter with Prof. Hu and his attorney. When the ban is lifted, I shall share its contents with you. Sen. Coons is a member of many powerful Senate committees, including Appropriations, Foreign Relations, and the Judiciary. Few senators achieve so many powerful committee assignments.
Sen. Coons, together with Former Governor of DE, Jack Markell (2009 - 17) and former Lt. Governor of DE Matt Denn (2009 - 15) all worked for me in my 1988 US senate campaign*. Although I lost the general election to a 3-term incumbent US senator Bill Roth, I am very proud to be the only U.S. Senate candidate in 1988 whose campaign team focused on the U.S.'s need to maintain its manufacturing industries.

Thanks to your extraordinary generosity, 80-20 EF now has a total asset of $5.5 million. We also want to say thanks for the pro-bono financial service rendered by Charles Zhang, who is actually a fee-only financial advisor. Since Dec. 15, 2015, 80-20 EF has invested in installments with Zhang Financial. It has turned our summed investments of $3.1 million into $5.2 million, with an average annual increase of 12.22%.
Charles Zhang**, a former Board Member of 80-20, is rated by Forbes the #6 in the nation on its list of America's Top Wealth Advisors for 2021. For the past 5 years, Charles has been the highest ranked fee-only advisor on the list!
Want 80-20 to LIVE LONGER
to provide service to your offspring???
80-20 today is a political boutique org.. For 80-20 to begin its journey towards a world-class AsAm political institution, it must have assets of at least $10 million.
At $10 million, even assuming an annual return of 8%, 80-20 can afford an annual expenditure of $0.5 million to hire 4 full-time staff, and yet have 3% to grow its principal. For the past 23 years, 80-20 operated with 1 full-time staff***only. Imagine how much bigger and better its service will be with 4 full-time staff. [Note that thesmallest of the big 5 political orgs in the Jewish Am. community has an annual budget of $26.2 million. Click here to verify and look for the section "How Did the Jewish Establish Their Political clout?"]
I am 84.How many more years can I hang on to serve YOU? I've repeatedly and shamelessly appealed to YOU to help 80-20 EF achieve the $10 million goal. YOU have helped. But 80-20 is still $4.5 million short. I need time to train the newly-hired and work with 80-20's Board to set up bylaws to change a boutique org. to a major institution!
Do YOUR children deserve at least one world-class AsAm political org. to protect them?
