A few months ago, the 1st $250,000 donor, a very generous person, issued
a challenge. He said to 80-20, "Get 3 more $250,000 donors and
my money will come in." The 2nd donation has come
in!
Will ALL OF YOU please help find 2 more
$250k donors? The real worth of finding them to SELF shall be
$750,000! 80-20, without any doubt the bravest and
the most effective fighter for the 17 million Asian
Ams, will then likely be able to live on.
The 2nd $250,000 donation came from a couple who wished to remain
anonymous. Wow! What role models. They
said,
"We have discussed among ourselves that
even though we are not the super rich, we can afford to donate and
match the $250,000 challenge in addition to our pledge of $xxxx per
year to keep 80-20 organization going.
We have been impressed by the success and
direction that 80-20 is going. We hope that our donation will sustain your effort and make changes in the US for
generations of Asian American to achieve the level playing field."
They added, "We would rather do so
anonymously. We believe in our future
generations and have devoted all our effort in the past 24 years in improving
their odds through the education programs we embraced. We are not educators by training but have become
one through our contact with the children who come through our Kumon program."
