yourselves politically.
80-20 Senses Its Own Inadequacy
80-20 is not doing badly. Through the sacrifice of thousands of noble-minded AsAms, it has 126,000 valid AsAm e-addresses. It also has a war chest of
$3.3 to $4 million, depending on the ups and downs of the stock market.
However, in this tough election year, when political parties and candidates adopt anti-China themes and shift blame for the problems caused by COVID-19, 80-20 has sensed its own inadequacy. Its existing political clout is no longer sufficient to protect you adequately. We need to increase our clout quickly.
How? One way is to expand the size of our email list by a factor of 2 with lightening speed. In several days, YOU CAN HELP DOUBLE YOUR POLITICAL CLOUT, using one or both of the methods presented below.
Method One
Each of 80-20's e-newsletters is opened by about 20,000 AsAms. If each of
YOU will send us 10 or more e-addresses, you collectively will have given 200,000 more e-addresses to 80-20. YOU will have doubled YOUR political clout. Whose
e-addresses should be on your list? Those of your spouse, closest relatives and friends who will trust your judgement of 80-20's integrity & character.
Method Two
We estimate that there are at least 2,000 weekend Chinese schools in the
nation. Their email lists probably average 100 e-addresses per school. If the officers of these schools will urge the parents of their students to share their e-addresses with 80-20, and then send us those e-addresses for which permissions have been given, we'll again double the size of our e-list. Will YOU talk to the officers of your local Chinese school(s) about doing this?
The Chinese schools empower their students by teaching them Chinese. True, if the playing field is level. However, teachers & parents should be honest with themselves. They are politically powerless and extremely exposed. So please truly empower your students & parents. Get parents' permissions to send us your e-address lists.
Be a role model. Be the first school to do so. Others will follow.
Each of the above suggested methods will require you to step out of your comfort zone. But this is the time that we all must do EXTRAORDINARY THINGS.
