The Greatest Battle in the History of Asian Americans
If you need reminding, here it is again. 80-20 plans to file a lawsuit charging
discrimination against AsAm students in the admissions process of elite colleges. Discrimination? Read the strong statements by 3 dissenting Supreme Court Justices, including The Chief Justice (pp 22 to 27) :
"... But UT's plan discriminates against Asian American students ...including racial discrimination that undeniably harms Asian Ams ... the court's willingness to allow this "discrimination against individuals of Asian descent is particularly troubling, in light of the long history of discrimination against Asian Americans, especially in education ... In particular, the Fifth Circuit's willful blindness to Asian-American students is absolutely shameless." (emphasis added)
The 3 Justices have seen much more admissions data than all of us, during the court proceeding of "Fisher vs. U of Texas". Yet they have no hesitation using such strong words as "discrimination" and "willful blindness". Unless we are also willing to be guilty of showing "willful blindness" to the discrimination against our own offspring, we must file this lawsuit and/or take
other equally effective measures to force the hands of these colleges, which preach transparency, but hide their admissions data.
The going will be extremely difficult. 80-20 is willing to lead the fight, if YOU have the will. 80-20 will set the 2nd litmus test -- a petition to be signed by at least 100,000 AsAms combined with a total donation of $2 million. $2 million is the minimum needed for a lawsuit that may reach the Supreme Court.
The PETITION will be ready soon. Show your will to fight by ACTION!
