This is BIG NEWS, first broken by Wall Street Journal 6 days ago. Thereafter CNN, Washington Post, Yahoo, NBC, NPR, Reuters, Washington Examiner, AOL, BBC and NY Daily News all followed with the same story.
Basically, the story is about John M. Gore, Acting Assistant Attorney General of DOJ, whom 80-20 EF highlighted in an earlier e-newsletter, asking Harvard to either comply with DOJ's requests by Dec. 1, or face Title VI.
The issue is the complaint by SFFA (Students for Fair Admissions) and AACE to DOJ that AsAm students have been discriminated against by Harvard in its admissions policy.

How is DOJ invoking Title VI?
DOJ is investigating Harvard under Title VI, 42 U.S.C. 2000d et seq.
Title VI, 42 U.S.C. 2000d's definition is shown below. It has pervasive financial consequences for Harvard University and all faculty members with federal contracts.
No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

Does Harvard's Faculty Have Input into Harvard's Governance?
Harvard preaches transparency, fairness and equal opportunity for all Americans. However, when it comes to its admission policy, it practices just the opposite, including the deduction of 140 SAT points from AsAm applicants to benefit their white peers. Harvard's hypocrisy is being reported and exposed by our nation's major media outlets day after day. Should the faculty take a look into this embarrassing and financially consequential matter, if the faculty cares about Harvard? If Harvard is found to violate Title VI, it'll loss an estimated $750.5 million per year.
