First Litmus Test Met. Fighting on.

Gearing Up for a Long and Difficult Fight

Thank you.  Gearing Up for the Next Step.

Thanks to the 1,000+ role models*, the first litmus test was met.  We've shown the minimal resolve to take on this fight for the welfare of our children. 80-20 Educational Foundation's Board will meet to discuss setting up a petition site.   All self-respecting AsAms should sign on to

   (1) stop entirely or at least reduce by 50% donations to all Ivy League schools whose admissions policy discriminates against AsAm applicants, and
   (2) to pay $10 or more towards funding a $2 million war chest for a lawsuit against these schools.

For details, click  here to read an earlier e-newsletter.

The Letter that moved me the most

One supporter referred to the extra 140 SAT points, which AsAm applicants had to meet against white applicants, in order to gain equal access to elite schools as a possible cause of their high suicide rate.

"Frankly I think it is one of the factors in the high suicide rate among Asian kids in places like Palo Alto, CA.  The parents know the deck is stacked against them, and push the kids to perform at unrealistic levels.  Unfortunately that is what it takes, when playing an unfair game.   -Steve xxxxx"

Are some of our AsAm parents such cowards?  They'd rather push their children to achieve "unrealistic levels to the point of suicide," but not dare to stand up to fight the discrimination against their children?  For such parents, look at yourselves in the mirror.

* By now 1,100 supportive emails have come in.  Unless you want to, there is no need for sending them any more.  Please pass the word via WeChat, Facebook, ..etc.  that we need to gear up to fight a very difficult battle for our self-respect and our children.  Read these words of the 3 dissenting Supreme Court Justices, which includes The Chief Justice:

"... But UT's plan discriminates against Asian American students ... including racial discrimination that undeniably harms Asian Ams ... the court's willingness to allow this "discrimination against individuals of Asian descent is particularly troubling, in light of the long history of discrimination against Asian Americans, especially in education ... In particular, the Fifth Circuit's willful blindness to Asian-American students is absolutely shameless."

Deadline coming up. Still 140 short.

Enraged? Action is what counts.

Dear Fellow Asian Americans:

Want 80-20 to lead a legal fight to stop discrimination against AsAm students?

80-20 set a litmus test of receiving 1,000 supportive emails within 3 days. Otherwise, 80-20 will NOT lead, because there is not enough enraged AsAms to help win such a very difficult fight. Deadline is coming up in a few hours. Thanks.

Enraged? Failing the litmus test so far.

Enraged? Action is what counts.

Failing the Litmus Test so far.

In 2 days, 80-20 has received 550 supportive emails.  We should have received  667 (1,000 x 2/3).   If our community can't even pass the first of many litmus tests to come - the last one being winning the lawsuit, then we are not ready.

Do Your Share to Meet the Litmus Test
If you don't agree, then take a few minutes to send in your supportive email, or inspire your friends to send in theirs.  We have 450 supportive emails today.

Why the litmus test?  If 80-20 decides to file a lawsuit to stop the elite school from openly discriminating against AsAm students, it'll be the BIGGEST fight it has ever handled.  We need to measure our internal resolve.  550 supportive emails in 2 days is very good, but we need the BIGGEST EMOTION & RESOLVE.

Read the words of the 3 Supreme Court justices again:

"... But UT's plan discriminates against Asian American students...including racial discriminates that undeniably harms Asian Ams ... the court's willingness to allow this "discrimination against individuals of Asian descent is particularly troubling, in light of the long history of discrimination against Asian Americans, especially in education ... In particular, the Fifth Circuit's willful blindness to Asian-American students is absolutely shameless."

If we accept such clear discrimination against us sitting down, ...

How it could affect your lives materially:

Will they be encourages to lower the glass ceiling in your workplace? Will the barrier in college admissions against your children be raised? Will they intern you, when, God forbid, there would be a war between the US and some Asian nations?

How it could affect your family life:

Will your children still respect you?
Will your spouse still respect you?
Can you look into the mirror and still maintain your self-respect?

Who Are the Most Shameless?

Will it be the liberal justices in the Supreme court and Fifth Circuit court?
Will it be our rich who gave generously to elite schools without asking them to not discriminate against AsAm students, and without donating to our community's organizations which fight against such discrimination?

Or will it be us, if we take such clear discrimination against us sitting down?

Send in your supportive email, if you have not yet.  80-20 has managed to win for you most of the times, because we measure and build up our strength methodically, and we work ourselves mercilessly fighting for YOU.

Send the supportive emails or get others to send please?

Rage into ACTION, friends.

Enraged is not enough. Where is your action?

80-20 sent you the following e-newsletter yesterday.  It asked if you wanted to fight such blatant discrimination against our children which a majority of the Justices showed "willful blindness" to -- words of Justice Alito.

80-20 set a litmus test for taking the first step to get into this fight.  Getting 1,000 supportive emails within 3 days.  Thus far we've only received 250.

80-20 is only as strong as you are.  You are 80-20's bosses.  You must express your will.  After that, 80-20 will try to achieve your will with its fighting skills.  TWO MORE DAYS to get another 750 NEW supportive emails from you.

Subject:  Words from strongly dissenting Justices

How the Supreme Court Has Ruled

"The Court's affirmance of the University's admissions policy today does not necessarily mean the University may rely on that same policy without refinement," the court wrote in its majority opinion.

Refinement?  Hear the Words of Dissenting Justices

Supreme Court Justice J. Alito, with whom The Chief Justice and Justice Thomas joined, dissented by stating (pp 22-27):

"... But UT's plan discriminates against Asian American students...including racial discrimination that undeniably harms Asian Ams ... the court's willingness to allow this "discrimination against individuals of Asian descent is particularly troubling, in light of the long history of discrimination against Asian Americans, especially in education ... In particular, the Fifth Circuit's willful blindness to Asian-American students is absolutely shameless."

Listen!  Even our Supreme Court Justices clearly described the treatment of AsAm students as DISCRIMINATION Why didn't the other Justices see it? My conjecture is that they saw it too, but chose to focus on the diversity issue and give Asian Americans the "willful blindness."

Our responsibility to our future generations is to force the other Justices to come out of their "willful blindness."  That'll take another lawsuit.

80-20 will lead, IF you will do your share

80-20 ponders filing a very different lawsuit.  Our lawsuit will NOT get into the issue of diversity involving Hispanic and black students.  Instead, our lawsuit will focus sharply on the various discriminations against AsAm students, raised by the 3 Supreme Court Justices.

We'll uphold Affirmative Action but ask "Is Affirmative Action's intent for minorities to give advantage to the majority or the other way around?"

As Justice Alito stated, "…the court's willingness to allow this "discrimination against individuals of Asian descent is particularly troubling, in light of the long history of discrimination against Asian Americans, especially in education."

80-20 will fight, if you will.

The litmus test for 80-20 to step in

There is nothing we can't achieve, if we are united.  Will we?

80-20 may start a petition site aiming to get 1,000,000 AsAms to sign. Signers will appeal to those AsAms who have donated to Ivy Leagues schools to STOP donating but instead donate to build up the war chest for this lawsuit. All signers will donate $10 or more.

Will that be enough?  Yes.  Here are the names of AsAms who have given so generously to the very universities which discriminate against AsAms, in the clear words of 3 Supreme court justices:

Lei Zhang:  $8.8 million to Yale,
Elaine Chao family: $40 million to Harvard, and
Gerald Chan: $350 million to Harvard,

When they gave, did they at least ask the universities not to discriminate against AsAms?  Will they donate as generously to help fight against the discrimination against our children, now that the case is made so clearly by the 3 dissenting Supreme Court Justices?

Reply to this e-newsletter.  Do your share please.  If we get 1,000 supportive emails within 3 days, 80-20 will take another step toward filing a lawsuit.  80-20 plans methodically, and usually wins.
